03/01/2012 - Richard Greatrex, Northern Upstart

HT Media did a brilliant job editing a quick turnaround 60-minute documentary for me for broadcast television. The team at Ht are not only technically top notch but also a pleasure to work with.

11/08/2011 - David Andrew, Gateshead Council Neighbourhood Management

 Bensham and Saltwell Alive: K'Aliveoscope

The K'Aliveoscope project, funded by the Saltwell and Lobley Hill & Bensham ward councillors, was coordinated by the Little Cat Theatre Group. Forming part of the Bensham and Saltwell Alive Initiative that is aiming to discover, connect and celebrate the skills, passions and talents within the neighbourhood, K' Aliveoscope was a programme of activities that culminated in a show at the Little Theatre in Gateshead. Residents of all ages from across the neighbourhood got involved, and HT Media were commissioned to capture on film two components of the programme. "Changing Faces" captured some interactive drama and reminiscing work with the residents of Rosewood Care Home in Bensham; and "The MotorMan" features the visit of children from Kelvin Grove Community Primary School to The Sound Room in Gateshead to record an original song they wrote about a tram crash that happened in the early part of the 1920s.

HT Media, who have worked on a number of projects with Gateshead Council over the last couple of years, have again produced that quality pieces of work that have been well-received both by those who were directly involved, but also from a number of groups and organisations that have seen the two films.

16/12/2010 - Andrea Clarke Director of Enterprise Made Simple

I felt it necessary to write and thank you for a recent project you have carried out for us up at the Calvert Trust Kielder.

Over two weekends we have run a project called ‘Boot Camp for Entrepreneurs’ that has been a residential training programme for individuals thinking of starting their own business.

The project was a pilot scheme and we therefore felt there was some benefit to be had by documenting the training and as a result commissioned HT-Media to film the weekends.

You made the whole process very easy for us and for the individuals, some of whom were camera shy. A testimony as to how good you were, is the fact that most people forgot you where there.

After all the filming and editing the end result is fantastic. It has definitely surpassed our expectations and created the wow factor for those who have watched the film.

In the five days since we have received the finished product we have three organisations interested in us running the Boot Camp for them.

Not only has the film captured some lovely memories for the delegates it has also made commercial sense for us. We know how good our training is, now we can show other people!

We would happily recommend HT-Media’s services to anyone who wants an event filming. Thank you once again

11/12/2010 - Carl Taylor, Gateshead Council

Gateshead Council employed HT Media in early 2009 to work in partnership with a view to completing a film on the Housing-led regeneration scheme in 3 of our priority communities.

I was the lead Project Officer and from our initial meeting, through the procurement process and throughout the life of the project I found the three employees of HT Media that I worked with to be helpful, professional, flexible and highly skilled in the art of film-making.

The film we made in partnership, “Gateshead: no stranger to change”, was unveiled later on in 2009 and received extensive praise both inside and outside this Local Authority; Indeed the film was short-listed for a prize at the regional Royal Television Society Awards. We also employed HT Media to complete a shorter film, about a local community engagement activity, almost 1 year later.

I would highly recommend HT Media to other Local Authorities and I have engaged the services of the company to assist me with a film project I have taken up outside of my employment.

14/04/2010 - Rachael Ronchetti, Operations Manager - Fairbridge Tyne & Wear

Fairbridge in Tyne & Wear run a range of personal development courses aimed at engaging some of the most hardest to reach young people in our society. By developing personal and social skills, increasing motivation and self esteem and providing tailored one to one support, we help young people make more fulfilling choices so they can take more effective control of their lives.

When an opportunity arose for our young people to take part in a national film project, we were keen to collaborate with a professional media organisation to ensure our young people received the best experience possible. Our young people often have very chaotic lives and many presenting needs in terms of their social skills and general life style factors. We needed a partner who would be able to work flexibly and to a high professional standard. They would need excellent facilitation skills and have the ability to form effective relationships quickly with our young people. Above all of this they would need to work flexibly and ensure that they allowed maximum development opportunities while keeping the project within the timescale and within budget!

In HT Media we found all of these things. Our young people identified the theme for the course which would be -The negative way in which the media portray young people. HT suggested that a news style programme would be a good way to explore the issue and along with our young people, helped craft an intensive project to plan and create a 6 minute short film. Our experienced staff were very impressed with the relaxed hands on approach which HT took with our young people. The ways in which they helped the young people engage with the theme and the quality of the tuition was outstanding throughout. The commitment to quality and professionalism was evident from the start and the young people bought into this in a big way. Far from simply providing the technical skills needed to produce a short film, HT’s approach included an exploration of the skills and qualities needed to work in the film and media business as well as sign posting for those young people who showed particular interest in the various different roles that emerged within the project.

The level of trust which the staff from HT gave to our young people was a very big factor in the success of the project. When working with extremely expensive pieces of equipment in very busy locations, the team were confident and comfortable in letting the young people get on with it. A display of trust which is often alien to many of the young people we work with.

The enthusiasm and effort put in by HT was excellent. The way in which they utilised contacts in the media to provide additional opportunities within the project helped make it such a success. The effort they put in around the face to face delivery with young people was also much in evidence.

I can only hope that this project will be the start of an ongoing relationship with HT. Certainly I would not hesitate to collaborate with them in the future. Quality, flexibility, professionalism and an open and honest approach to working with our young people make them an excellent partner to help engage the young people with which Fairbridge work.

28/04/2009 - Mark Cotton - North East Ambulance Service

When we started planning a consultation to become a Foundation Trust, we thought it would be better to make a DVD of our services. HT Media worked with us to understand the brief and produced a great video which really enaged with our audiences. Highly recommended!

02/09/2008 - Declan Robinson - National Grid

"National Grid Gas recently engaged the services of HT media in order to produce a Best Practice DVD dealing with on-site quality control of jointing methods for Plastic pipe. HT media personnel, working in close co-operation with National Grid and its contractors, were responsible for the recording and editing the video content of the DVD. National Grid were very pleased with the quality of the DVD on-site content and the work was delivered on schedule as agreed. We would have no hesitation in recommending HT as a media production organisation."

20/08/2008 - Vince McNeilly - AkzoNobel

"When we embarked on the project to record a DVD of our behavioural safety process, we found HT Medias help and assistance immensely valuable. The DVD was watched by our employees in many locations across the world and it was important that they could watch and learn, HT Media transcribed several languages to be viewed in subtitle format enabling our people to understand the message we needed to share with them. We would like to thank HT Media for the success of this project and their professionalism and integrity in producing a quality product. We would have no hesitation in promoting and using HT Media for further projects in the future."
